The Divine Swine
Pennsylvania is not known for their BBQ excellence.....and the local BBQ eateries are pretty slim pickings when you're hungry. We've tried a few places nearby 1.) Hog Wild BBQ (East Berlin), 2.) Porky's (York), MoMo's BBQ (Harrisburg), and JoBoy's Brew Pub (Lititz). My favorite of those BBQ joints would definitely be JoBoy's....unfortunately, the menu is a little overpriced.
It wasn't until this summer that we stumbled upon the Divine Swine in Manheim, PA. Located directly across from the PA Renaissance Fair grounds it served up some of the best BBQ I've ever had (or cooked!).
Not to mention that it brews its own beer and has great daily specials throughout the week. We were treated to the rib special ($15 full rack or $7.50 half rack) and half price beers during happy hour. I also ordered the Divine sampler of pulled pork, brisket, and cajun sausage. My wife absolutely fell in love with the sausage after one bite (and that's a huge compliment coming from her!).
So without hesitation we would definitely go back for more! If you are ever in the area this is one BBQ stop you must make......even if you have to pay full price for the ribs and beer!
